OVERVIEW
DOMA ACCESSIBILITY APP
App Design
DOMA Aid is an accessibility-focused app designed to assist Ball State students who are hard of hearing or deaf with accommodations to ensure the user has an engaging and immersive experience. Key features include live transcription, real-time translation, and automatic closed captioning.
People with hearing impairments often face barriers in fully experiencing and understanding audio-based or spoken content in art museums, such as guided tours, exhibit explanations, or artist interviews. Current museum experiences frequently lack inclusive, accessible features that cater to their needs. This limits engagement, understanding, and enjoyment of the art.
